The station Hamburg Hammer Brook was the construction of the Harburg S -Bahn in 1983. Timetables in the station after the nearby City South as Hammerbrookstraße ( City South) referred. Architecture

The design of the station and the viaduct was the result of a competition in 1976. Upon winning design of the architect community, the soundproof walls were clad in the station with a significant red aluminum sheet, provided with windows and to the extent drawn up, that the wagon form revealed. The construction took place from 1978 to 1983. In 1986, the station was honored by the Hamburger Building Authority including the viaduct. The outputs were specifically excluded because they were criticized as user-unfriendly - it was missing there sufficient natural light and escalators. The station Hammerbrookstraße ( City South) is the only elevated station in Hamburg S - Bahn network.

Traffic

In Hammerbrookstraße ( City South) keeping only S -Bahn trains of the lines S3 and S31, the latter only at peak times. It will be offered with Central Station, Altona, Harburg, Pinneberg, Neugraben, Buxtehude and Stade.
