Hans Geister

Hans spirits ( born September 28, 1928 in Hamborn; † 16 May 2012) was a German track and field athlete and Olympic medal winner.

Ghosts - starting for the Federal Republic - was a successful 400 - meter runner in the 1950s. His greatest achievement is the bronze medal at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki with the 4 x 400 - meter relay ( 3:06,6 min European record, together with Günther stone, Heinz Ulzheimer and Karl -Friedrich Haas).

A silver medal in the 4 x 400 - meter relay team, he won the European Championships in 1954 ( 3:08,8 min, together with Helmut Dreher, Heinz Ulzheimer and Karl -Friedrich Haas). Both in the 1952 Olympics as well as at the European Championships in 1954, he was also in the 400-meter individual race at the start, but he did not reach the finals. Spirits in 1951 was German champion in the 400 meters, four times he finished in second place, he was third twice. Spirits belonged to the CSV Marathon 10 Krefeld.
