Hans Kaufmann

Hans Kaufmann ( born June 13, 1948 in Ettiswil, Canton of Lucerne; homeland justified in Ettiswil and Lucerne ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP) and a business consultant.

Political activity

As a representative of the Swiss People's Party ( SVP) of the Canton of Zurich Hans Kaufmann was first elected in the 1999 elections to the National Council. In the national elections in 2003 was re-elected Hans Kaufmann with 123'317 and in the 2007 elections with 141'404 votes. In the elections of 23 October 2011, he was confirmed in office. He is since 1999 a member of the Committee for Economic Affairs and Taxation (CEAT ) and since 2007 the delegation EFTA / European Parliament (since 2014 as deputy). He was from 2001 to 2007 Member of the Finance Committee (FC ) and the Committee for Legal Affairs, further from 2007 to 2011, he was from 2003 to 2007 as a deputy in the Parliament Delegation to the Euro Europe.

In March 2014 he announced his resignation at the beginning of May 2014. The main reason he called the " little edifying collaboration with the Federal Government and some background people in issues that affect the financial center, taxes and international agreements ."

Hans Kaufmann is since the founding Chairman of Kaufmann Research AG.
