Hans-Ulrich Grapenthin
Hans -Ulrich Grapenthin ( born September 2, 1943 in Wolgast ) is a former football player. Grapenthin, which was named for its North German origin " sprat " was 1966-1985 in 308 games the DDR Oberliga goalkeeper for FC Carl Zeiss Jena.
Club career
Hans -Ulrich Grapenthin, also a bricklayer, came from third-class district division BSG Motor Wolgast, where he had already completed in the season 1963/64, as a 20 -year-old nine games in the second-rate DDR -Liga as goalkeeper, the university town of Jena. In his early days at FC Carl Zeiss of 1.85 m wide Grapenthin was only second choice and was used mostly in the reserve team.
