Life

White made ​​his preliminary studies from the Lower Saxony Braunschweig School of Music in violin, piano, music theory and ear training. From 1968-1972 he studied music education, conducting and composition at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, it joined a percussion studies at the Musikhochschule Hamburg.

It was followed by numerous engagements as a conductor and performer with various bands. From 1973-1976 Weiss was composer for the Municipal Theater in Bielefeld and from 1973-1983 Lecturer rhythm and arrangement at the State Academy of Music and Theatre in Hanover.

In 1980 he received a scholarship Lower Saxony artists in the music business. In 1983, an additional grant from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Art, before moving to Mallorca in 1984. A year later, he received a grant from the city of Berlin.

Awards and Honors

Weiss received numerous awards throughout his career, including in 1975 he was a prizewinner at the composition competition of the West German Radio.
