Hargarten-aux-Mines

Hargarten -aux -Mines ( German: Hargarten ) is a commune with 1129 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

The place is in Warndt seven kilometers south of Creutzwald and the German - French border.

History

The place was known as Hargada 1179 and 1295 as Hargarten les Faux. In the 17th century there was a lead mine in place.
