Harry and Tonto is an American comedy film directed by Paul Mazursky from the year 1974.
Action
The retired teacher Harry Coombes from New York has to move out of his apartment because his block is to be demolished. First, he comes under with his son Burt. As Harry's friend Jacob dies, Harry sets out with his possessions and his cat Tonto on the way to Las Vegas to his other son Eddie. Because Tonto Harry travels with a bus instead of flying, but the bus ride is not right for the cat. So Harry buys a used car and embarks on the long journey to Nevada. There he meets on his journey to know different people and eventually finds a new lease of live.
