Harry Joseph Flynn

Harry Joseph Flynn ( born May 2, 1933, Schenectady, New York State ) is Archbishop Emeritus of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

Life

Harry J. Flynn resigned after his master's degree in English at Siena College, Loudonville (NY ), in the Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, a. He received on May 28, 1960, ordained priest for the Diocese of Albany. After working in the pastoral care he was dean from 1965 to 1979, vice-rector and rector of Mount Saint Mary Seminary.

On April 19, 1986, he was appointed by Pope John Paul II as Coadjutor Bishop in the Diocese of Lafayette. He received his episcopal consecration of the Bishop of Albany, Howard James Hubbard, on 24 June 1986; Philip Matthew Hannan were co-consecrators, Archbishop of New Orleans, and Gerard Louis Frey, Bishop of Lafayette.
