Hecate Strait

Geographical location

The Hecate Strait (English Hecate Strait or Strait of Hecate ) is a navigable body of water in Western Canada. It separates the islands of Haida Gwaii from the mainland of British Columbia and has a length of 267 km and a width of 129 km.

The waterway joins the north by the Dixon Entrance and on the south by the Queen Charlotte Sound on.

Here you will find among others the larger islands Gil Iceland, Pitt Iceland, Iceland Banks and Princess Royal Iceland.
