Helpter mountain summit: The highest elevation of the mountains Helpter with trigonometric point and mountain cross

The Helpter mountains in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District are a maximum of 179.2 m above sea level. NHN, the highest natural point in Mecklenburg -Western Pomerania and part of the back country of the Mecklenburg- Brandenburg Lake District.

Originally from the Pomeranian stage of the Vistula glaciation terminal moraine was named after the 2.4 km north-north- west in the village Helpt. The forested mountain range lies to the east of the county Mecklenburg Lake 9 km west-southwest of Strasburg, about 3 km north- northeast of Woldegk and 2.5 km northwest of Mildenitz.

The ridge is part of a line extending from southwest to northeast and not very large hills. In the landscape of the Helpter, Mildenitzer and Woldegker heath lie. Southwest is almost completely silted Large Totensee and beyond the local Woldegk Woldegker the city lake.

Approximately 580 meters southwest of the highest point of the mountains Helpter stands on about 151 m above sea level since 1981. NN is the 203.2 m high radio tower Helpterberg. Not far from other transmitters were built in north northeast.
