Henning Moritzen

Henning Moritzen ( born August 3, 1928 in Tårbæk, Denmark, † August 11, 2012 in Frederiksberg, Denmark) was a Danish actor.

Biography

After Henning Moritzen on Blanche Funch and on Privatteatrenes Elevskole studied acting, he had played in the theater, including Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen and the Det Kongelige Teater. His screen debut was in the 1950 published and staged by Torben Anton Svendsen Literaturverfilmung Susanne. He has established itself as an actor and played among other things in Ingmar Bergman's Cries and Whispers and a sadistic father in Thomas Vinterberg's The Feast. In his career he was nominated five times for a Bodil, where he was awarded Best Actor for Love in Copenhagen and as Best Supporting Actor for Harry and his valet and dancing with Regitze. He received a Robert in 2010 as Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Headhunter.

On August 11, 2012 Moritzen died at the age of 84 years in Frederiksberg Hospital. He was married twice and was the father of two children, actress Marianne Moritzen and theater director Michael Moritzen. In his second marriage he was married from 1971 until her death in 1994 to actress Lise ring home.
