Hermann Schulz

Hermann Schulz ( born December 14, 1961 in Dresden ) is a former German figure skater, who started in a single run for the GDR.

Schulz learned at Dresdner DEC his first triple jumps and achieved great success with the trainer Ingrid Lehmann. He took the age of 13 at the European Championships in Copenhagen in part and placed himself in eighth place. In the following years he has participated in the European Championships (1980, 1981) and World Championships (1979, 1980). In 1980 he was a member of the East German team at the Olympic Games in Lake Placid, which he finished in eleventh place. His best World Cup result was the tenth place in 1980.

In 1978 he won the trophy of the Blue Swords in the men's team; for women Katarina Witt was successful. Hermann Schulz 1981 GDR champion and in the subsequent European Championships in Innsbruck fourth. But he had to stop for health reasons in 1981.

Dr. Hermann Schulz works as an internist in a dialysis center in chub. At national and international levels of figure skating he serves as judges.
