Michael Huth

Michael Huth ( born September 2, 1969 in Dresden ) is a German figure skating coach and former figure skater.

Michael Huth began at the age of five years with the ice skating. He was in Dresden and Chemnitz - here under coach Jutta Müller - as a single and pair skater active. Huth was in 1988 for the SC Einheit Dresden GDR champion and was one of this season for the East German Olympic team in Calgary. After end of his career he studied sports science at the DHfK Leipzig, Munich Technical University and the University of Cologne. Currently (2008/2009) he worked as a coach for the national training center in Oberstdorf.

His outstanding achievements as a coach Michael Huth reached with the European champions Carolina Kostner (2007, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2013, World Champion 2012) and Tomáš Verner (2008). He is currently trained in Oberstdorf next Verner three times Ukrainian champions Anton Kowalewskyj and the German champion Annette Dytrt, Kristin Wieczorek and several young German talent. Other well-known, supervised by Huth runners were Evelyn Grossmann, Susanne Müller barn, Sydne Vogel, Sarah Michelle Villanueva and Silvio Smalun.
