Hiroomi Takizawa

Hiroomi Takizawa (Japanese泷 泽 宏 臣, Takizawa Hiroomi; * September 13, 1973 in Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture) is a Japanese freestyle skis. He specializes in the discipline of ski cross, formerly on the moguls and dual moguls mogul disciplines. In the season 2002/ 03 he won the ski cross World Cup standings.

Biography

At the start of his racing career was an alpine ski racer Takizawa, greater success failed to materialize, however. In 1990 he participated in the Junior World Championships. In 1996, Takizawa for freestyle skiing, first in the moguls disciplines. His debut in the World Cup he had in Tignes on December 6, 1997. In February 1999 he was able to classify twice in the points, with positions 29 and 30 in Madarao ( Myoko ) and Inawashiro. In August 2001, Takizawa was temporarily reversed back to alpine skiing and operating these competitively until August 2004.

His successful debut as ski crossers were Takizawa at the Winter X Games in 2001 when he won the gold medal in the discipline Ultra Cross. On November 30, 2002, he took part in the first Tignes ski cross World Cup race in history and drove to 8th place. The first podium finish followed in January 2003 and on 12 March 2003, he won his first World Cup in Les Contamines race. So he decided to ski cross - discipline rating for themselves in the World Cup he was fifth. In the winter of 2003/ 04 stood Takizawa ( including a win ), which ranged in the discipline rating for fourth place on the podium four times. The following season 2004/ 05 he had an injury prematurely after a third place.

The following season 2005/ 06 was dedicated to the reconnection with the world leaders. In 2007 he won his third ( and so far last ) World Cup races; added was a second place, which resulted in the third place in the discipline standings. In 2008 and 2009 he regularly get top 10 rankings, podiums, however, remained - with the exception of the Winter X Games in 2009, where he won the silver medal in ski cross competition. 2010 was a 15th place his best World Cup result, however, he qualified for the Olympic Winter Games.
