Geography
Through the area, the river flows Beber and it is partly in the Magdeburg region.
Neighboring communities
To the north is the county town of Haldenleben and the unified community Low flange and the North East, the unit Barleben community. In the east, the state capital Magdeburg, and to the south the city Wanzleben - flare, as well as the community and express life in the northwest Erxleben, Altenhausen and Sueplingen borders.

History
The unit community established on 1 January 2010 from the Administration Community High flange. The administrative community created by the merger has existed since the 1994 Management Community High flange with the administrative community Northern Borde, where the name High Borde was retained. On 1 September 2010, the former municipalities Rottmersleben and Bornstedt were incorporated into the congregation High flange. So far they have also managed only by the united community since 1 January 2010.
Policy
The first full-time mayor of the unified community is Steffi Trittel.
According to the municipal election held on 30 November 2009 Einheitsgemeindenrat has 28 members. The turnout was 35.1 %. The choice was as follows:
Another member of the unit council is the mayor.
The council is divided into three fractions:
- CDU 12 seats
- Community Group High flange ( GHB) 10 seats
- Free Wählergemeinschaft ( FWG ) 6 seats
GHB = (FDP, Active Citizens High flange, Linke, SPD, voter community fire brigade)
Coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved on 19 February 2010 by the county.
Blazon: "In an occupied green with a black thread silver stake, the right of a golden tower with stairs, black door opening and two black window openings left a golden sheaf of six ears of wheat. "
The colors of the community are - derived from the main motives and the plate color of the coat of arms - Gold (Yellow) - Green.
At the constituent meeting of the Municipal Council on 21 January 2010 it was decided the coat of arms of the dissolved Management Community High Boerde continue.
The green sign, a symbol of the fertility of Magdeburg, in which the unity community high flare is, summarizes the main symbols of the former coat of arms of the administration Communities High flange ( the Bismarck tower) and Northern Borde ( Sheaf of six ears of wheat ) together. At the same time is the golden tower for the name High and the golden ears for beading. The silver pole symbolizes the Federal Highway 2, which runs through the area and affected many places.
The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg heraldist Ernstalbrecht Fiedler.
Flag
The flag is yellow - green (1:1) striped ( longitudinal shape: strip running vertically, cross- shape: strips running horizontally ) and centrally occupied with the municipal coat of arms.
Traffic
The municipality lies High crimp with the breakpoints Ochtmersleben, wave ( b Magdeburg ) and Niederndodeleben on the railway Brunswick- Magdeburg. The breakpoints Ackendorf, Schackensleben and Nordgermersleben lay on the railway line Haldensleben - Eilsleben which is shut down. The Bebertal station was at the junction of the railway line Haldensleben - Weferlingen.
