Geography

Geographical Location

Parts of the Drömling residing in the city, which is located on the border with Lower Saxony, on the northeast edge of the Lappwalds and at the transition zone from the Altmark to Magdeburg. History

On 1 January 2010, included the previously independent municipalities Doehren, Eschenrode, Hödingen, Hörsingen, Schwanefeld, Seggerde, Siestedt, Walbeck and stains Weferlingen from the administrative community Flechtingen and the communities Bösdorf, Eickendorf, Etingen, Kathendorf, Rätzlingen and the city Oebisfelde from the administrative community Oebisfelde - Calvörde the city Oebisfelde - Weferlingen together.
