The High Arch (often outdated and High Arch ) is an 8 km long mountain range in the Bavarian Forest.

Mountain Name

The mountain name " high arch " does not come after research of local historian Ludwig Baumann from Kötzting - as is often assumed - from the morphologically - scenic form of a " high arch ", but by the Counts of Bogen, which in 1190 a castle on the Postal have built ( today's location of the BR- transmitter ). Geography
