Hohnstein/Südharz

In the administration of Community Hohenstein / Suedharz from the Thuringian district of Nordhausen, five communities have joined together to do their administrative business. It lies between the cities of Nordhausen and Blankenburg.

Office of the Management Community is Harztor.

The communities

History

On 6 April 1994, the administrative community was founded.

On 1 December 2007, the municipalities Petersdorf, Nordhausen and Stempeda left the administrative community and were incorporated by Nordhausen. The communities Ilfeld and Niedersachswerfen joined 1 January 2012 the municipality together Harztor.
