Homerton College, Cambridge

Homerton College is a college of the University of Cambridge and is numerically the largest of the 31 colleges. It is known primarily for its teacher training tradition and took until the year 2001, only students with teaching subjects on. It is named after the place in Homerton Hackney, London.

Due to a very complex history of the foundation year can not be uniquely determined, but the origins of the College can be found in the 17th century.

Life in college

For the students there are seven houses available: East House, West House, South Court, Queens Wing, ABC, DE and Harrison House, which is designed exclusively for Fellows and postgraduates. Homerton College has several Societies, including a rowing club, a Music Society, and a theater club (HATS ).
