The Honningsvag Valan Airport is an airport in Norway. The airport is located in the municipality of Nordkapp and is the nearest airport to North Cape. About the European Route 69 the airport to the North Cape and Honningsvåg is connected.

History

The airport was opened in 1977. On October 29, 1990, a Twin Otter crashed into the Luftforsvaret Honningsvag Valan down as a result of turbulence. Two crew members and a passenger died. 2009 were handled approximately 14,600 passengers.

Compounds

The airline Widerøe connects the airport with daily Hammerfest and Tromsø and rarely with Alta, Mehamn, Vadsø, Kirkenes and Berlevaag and Båtsfjord. Are used Bombardier Dash 8
