How I Got Over (album)

How I Got Over is the ninth studio album by American hip hop band The Roots, which was released on June 22, 2010 on Def Jam Recordings. The production was mainly done by the band members Black Thought, Questlove, Dice Raw and Rick Friedrich. The sound of the album can be described as very quiet and is a mixture of hip- hop with soul, jazz, indie and Gospel represents the lyrical subject matter includes, but is existential ideas, issues of modern society and Midlife Crisis.

Background

2008 announced The Roots, Rising Down that would be their last studio album.
