Hrodna district
The Rajon Hrodna ( Belarusian Гродзенскі раён; Russian Гродненский район ) is an administrative unit in the northwest of Hrodsenskaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the city of Grodno. The Rajon has an area of 2700 km ², comprises 383 villages and is divided into 14 Selsawets.
Geography
The Rajon Grodno is located in the northwestern part of the Hrodsenskaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone in Hrodsenskaja Woblasz are in the east Schtschutschyn, in the south Masty and Berastawiza.
History
The Rajon Grodno was formed on 15 January 1940.
