Masty district

The Rajon Masty (White Russian Мастоўскі раён; Russian Мостовский район ) is an administrative unit in the southeastern Hrodsenskaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the city Masty. The Rajon has an area of 1,400 km ², comprises 154 villages and is divided into 13 Selsawets.

Geography

The Rajon Masty located in the eastern part of the Hrodsenskaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone in Hrodsenskaja Woblasz are in the north Schtschutschyn, in the west Dsjatlawa, southwest Selwa, in the southeast Waukawysk, in the east and in the north east Berastowiza Hrodna.

The largest rivers are Memel and inflows Shchara, Selwjanka, Ros, Elnja.

History

The Rajon Masty was formed in its current boundaries on 15 January 1940.
