Humberto Tozzi
Humberto Barbosa Tozzi ( born February 4, 1934 in São Cristóvão, Brazil, † April 17, 1980 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) was a Brazilian footballer who was active as of the very few one at that time in Europe. He also participated with the national team of his native country at the World Cup in Switzerland in 1954.
Career
Club career
Humberto Tozzi, born on February 4, 1934 in the city of São Cristóvão in the Brazilian state of Sergipe in the northeastern part of the country, his footballing career started at a local club called São Cristóvão de Futebol e Regatas. There he acted from 1950 to 1953, before the talent scouts of Topvereins and then to Brazil's top football teams belonging Palmeiras Sao Paulo discovered the talent from the north and piloted him to São Paulo, where Humberto played in the episode most of the time under legendary coach Aymoré Moreira together with players such as Jair da Rosa Pinto, or Francisco Rodrigues. Humberto Tozzi moved to Italy's Serie A Elite League, where he joined the team of Lazio.
