Hundred Year Hall is a live double album of the band Grateful Dead.

History

The songs on the album were recorded on 26 April 1972 in the Centennial Hall in Frankfurt during the European tour, which included Europe the album was released in '72, and published on 26 September 1995.

Just as the last tour with Ron McKernan was before his death, this was the first album which was released after the death of Jerry Garcia's band leader.

Mickey Hart had left the band a year earlier, so that only a drummer took part in the tour. Thus, no drum solos were held, which were otherwise standard at every live show. Since Keith and Donna Godchaux were new to the band, to relieve the ailing McKernan, found the usual improvisations in the second set of the concert largely only of Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir instead.

On the original track list of the songs was incorrectly named. The second song on the second CD was given as Cryptical Envelopment, which is usually a part of That's It For The Other One. But in reality it is a part of The Other One.
