Igor Budan

Igor Budan ( born April 22, 1980 in Rijeka ) is a former Croatian football player, he plays on the position of a striker.

Career

Igor Budan began his career in his native city, while HNK Rijeka. In the season 1999/ 00 he moved abroad for the first time AC Venice in the Italian Serie A. As a result Budan changed regularly the club and played it mostly in the Italian Serie B, but he could nowhere sustainably enforce. His breakthrough came in the 2003/04 season when he was able to achieve eleven goals for the then Serie B club Atalanta in 23 games and thus made ​​sure that Bergamo ascended into the Serie A. The following season he was indeed often used, but met only five times, at the end of Atalanta took the relegation zone and thus returned to Serie B. After eight games for Bergamo Budan changed in the season 2005/ 06 to Ascoli Calcio and thus returned to Serie A. For the 2006/07 season Budan then moved to Parma, where he was able to record 13 goals this season and thus played a major role in the relegation of his club. In the 2008 /09 season he moved to Palermo. For the season 2010/11 he was awarded to AC Cesena. In summer 2011 he returned to Palermo.
