Ileana CotrubaÈ™

Ileana Cotrubas ( born June 9, 1939 in Galaţi ) is a Romanian soprano. She was one of the most famous opera singers of the 20th century.

Life

Training and beginnings

Ileana Cotrubas was born into a musical family. In 1948 she was a member of the children's choir of Radio Bucharest and the Opera Naţională Bucureşti.
