The Ingoda (Russian Ингода ) is the left, 708 km long river source of the Shilka in Transbaikalia, Russia.
It rises in the Khentii Mountains near the Mongolian border. From there it flows north, later northeast through a wide valley between Jablonowygebirge and Tscherskigebirge. In Chita, she turns to the southeast, breaks through the main ridge of the Tscherskigebirges and joins after about a further 150 kilometers to the east with the Onon to Shilka.
The lower reaches of the Ingoda is navigable.
History
On 5 December 2008 a fighter aircraft MiG -29 crashed just 700 meters from the homonymous riverside village Ingoda. The pilot was killed.
