Inhumas

Inhumas is a Brazilian municipality and small town in the state of Goiás.

It is located west of the Brazilian capital Brasília and Goiânia northwest of the capital in the mesoregion Central Goiás and in the micro-region Anápolis. Inhumas is 54 km away from the capital and is part of the metropolitan area Goiânia.

Other villages in the municipality are Quilombo, Santa Maria, and Santa Amália Pedrinhas.

Geographical location

Inhumas borders the municipalities of:

  • To the north by Itauçu and Petrolina de Goiás
  • To the east by Damolândia and Brazabrantes
  • To the south by Goianira and Caturaí
  • On the west by Aracu

Inhumas is right on the state highway GO- 070, which was extended south to Goiânia to a double-track, direction separate road. North of the city branches off to the east, the state highway GO -222 from after Anápolis. Parallel to the GO 070 also runs the Rio Meia Ponte.

Economy

The main agricultural products are sugar cane, beans, corn, dairy and livestock (pigs and cattle). An industrial establishments one finds an alcohol distillery and a dairy.

Mineral deposits are sand, gravel, clay and nickel.
