Life and career
Cervantes Huegun won three titles on the ATP Challenger Tour so far, two in singles and another in doubles. All titles won by the Spaniard on clay. On the ATP World Tour, he qualified for the first time in 2010 in Auckland for a main field, failed in the opening round but to Philipp Kohlschreiber. His debut victory on the World Tour, he celebrated in 2012 in Estoril when he beat Igor Andreev in the first round in three sets. In the quarterfinals, he had a disadvantage against Robin Haase. At Grand Slam tournaments he first time in 2012 succeeded in Wimbledon qualifying for the main draw. He could also instantly win his opening match against Flavio Cipolla despite 0-2 deficit to five sets. In the second round he had no chance against Mikhail Youzhny and lost smooth in three sets.
