Inter mirifica

Inter Mirifica is the name of a decree, which was adopted by the Second Vatican Council. It deals with modern means of communication and advocates freedom of the press, but also for the protection of minors. Catholics are encouraged to constructively deal with the new media and to develop media literacy and to convey (eg children). Furthermore, it encouraged on the one hand contribute their own opinions in the social discourse to make Christian views in the public sphere via the media perceptible, and secondly a specifically Catholic press (eg newspapers church ) to establish or promote.
