Isabel de Castro

Isabel de Castro (actually Isabel Maria de Castos Osório de Castro e Oliveira, born August 1, 1931 in Lisbon, † 23 November, 2005 Borba ) was a Portuguese actress.

De Castro played as a teenager in films and was more active from the 1990s for television, until her death. Also on stage, so at Estúdio do Salitre, the award-winning actress was seen. Her career began in 1946 in the musical comedy Ladrão, precisa - se! ... What numerous engagements for Spanish films, especially in the 1950s and 1990s, followed. For Momplet Antonio and Ignacio F. Iquino she turned Brigada criminal (1950), El sistema Pelegrín (1952) and La danza del corazón of the same year along with Tony Leblanc. A total of six years she spent in Spain; back to the home she went, among others because at the Teatro Trindade and the Teatro Avenida. A great success was her role in the play " A cozinha ".

De Castro was one of the recurring actors of the Portuguese film and worked with almost all important directors.
