Italaque

Italaque is a village in the department of La Paz in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

Italaque is the central place of the Canton Italaque district ( bolivian: Municipio) Mocomoco in the province of Heliodorus Camacho. The village lies at an altitude of 3538 m in the southern foothills of the Cordillera Apolobamba fifteen kilometers northeast of Lake Titicaca.

Geography

Italaque located on the Bolivian Altiplano at the western edge of the Cordillera Real. The climate of the region is a typical diurnal climate, in which the mean temperature variation during the day is more distinct than in the course of the seasons.
