Ivan Desny

Ivan Desny (actually Ivan Nikolai Desnitzky; born December 28, 1922 in Beijing, then Republic of China, † April 13, 2002 in Ascona, Switzerland ) was a French- German actor Russo- Swedish origin.

Life

As a child of a Russian diplomat Desny was born in 1922 in Beijing. He spent his youth in Tehran, Washington, DC, Paris and Brisbane. During the Second World War Desny came in a German labor camp.

1956 and 1957 he played in the movies by Falk Harnack, Anastasia, the Czar's Last Daughter and like a whirlwind, the male lead. His partner in both films was Lilli Palmer.
