Ivan Perisic (2012 )

Ivan Perisic [ pɛɾiʃitɕ ] ( born February 2, 1989 in Split, SFR Yugoslavia, now Croatia) is a Croatian football player. Since January 2013 he is at VfL Wolfsburg under contract.

Career

Association

Perisic began his athletic active time as a football player in a youth of his hometown while HNK Hajduk Split. In 2006 he moved from the youth of the HNK for FC Sochaux in France. In Sochaux, he received only match practice in the second team in the fourth division before he was loaned to KSV Roeselare in 2009. He stayed there for six months and scored in the Jupiler Pro League five goals in 18 games. During this time he also included a trial with Bundesliga side Hertha BSC, which, however, did not oblige him. Instead, he joined in the summer of 2009 to FC Bruges. There he was in the 2010/11 season with 22 goals scorer.

During the summer break of 2011/12 Perisic joined the Bundesliga club and reigning German champions Borussia Dortmund. He signed a five-year contract until 2016. Via the transfer fee was not disclosed. For Borussia he gave on 13 September 2011 at the game against Arsenal also be Champions League debut and scored in the 88th minute for the final score 1:1.

He marked his first Bundesliga goal on Matchday 7 in the away match against 1 FSV Mainz 05 Am Round 32 of the 2011/12 season with Borussia Dortmund Perisic was the first time in his career German masters.

Beginning in January 2013 moved Perisic for 7.5 million euros to league rivals VfL Wolfsburg. He signed a contract until the end of June 2017.

National

Perisic was active in the youth teams of the Croatian national football team, before 2011 his first game for the senior team graduated. There, Croatia met Georgia and lost 0:1. In the 2012 European Football Championship Perisic was in the first two group matches against Ireland and Italy in the starting lineup and gave an assist.
