Ivano Blason

Ivano Blason ( born May 24, 1923 in San Lorenzo Isontino, † March 13, 2002 in Gorizia ) was an Italian football player who during his playing career for AS Pro Gorizia, U.S. Triestina, Inter Milan, Hellas Verona and Padova Calcio, as well as for Italian national football team aground.

Career

Association

Ivano Blason began his professional career in 1939 at AS Pro Gorizia, where he was active in the third- highest division four years. The defender moved in 1945 to U.S. Triestina and took from 1947 to 1950 with the team on the operation of the League Serie A in part. In the 1947/48 season was tied surprisingly occupied the second rank in the Italian championship, along with AC Milan and Juventus. The following two seasons closed Blason with Triestina in the eighth off and then left the club to sign a contract with Inter Milan. In the same year he joined the second division side Hellas Verona, with whom he relegation successfully ensured in the following season.

Then he performed another change of club and he decided to Padova Calcio aground. The best placement of Padova he succeeded in the season in 1957/58, as the excellent third place in the Serie A final was won. His time at Padova and at the same time his active career as a professional player ended after the 1961/62 season when he won the league could not reach with the team and then decided to end his active career.

National

The defender has been called up by coach Ferruccio Novo in the Italian squad for the World Cup 1950. For the first tournament game against Sweden, he has not used his only tournament and National team he played on July 2, 1950 against Paraguay. The game was indeed won by the Italians 2-0, but due to the previously suffered defeat against Sweden the way into the next round was missed because the Scandinavians won the required point to progress to the next round in the match against Paraguay.
