Izak van der Merwe
Izak van der Merwe ( born January 26, 1984 in Johannesburg) is a South African tennis player.

Career
Van der Merwe been able to win on the Challenger Tour three individual titles, as well as 13 other titles in doubles. On the ATP Tour, he scored at the 2011 SA Tennis Open his best result when he was equipped with a wildcard advance to the semi-finals and only then was defeated by the Indians Somdev Devvarman. At Grand Slams he could so far only qualify for the main draw at Wimbledon, 2008 in singles and 2011 in doubles. A subsequent victory he did not succeed.
Van der Merwe is a member of the South African Davis Cup team since 2006.
