Jabloňany

Jabloňany ( German Jablonian ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-west of Boskovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Jabloňany located at the western foot of the Drahany country in the Bosko brázda. The village is located on the right side above the valley of the Svitava to the torrent Umori. North-east rises the Faberka ( 445 m ) behind it opens the Bela in the Svitava. Against the southwest lie the hills Na Kamencích (428 m) and Maly Chlum ( 488 m). West of the village, the road I/43/E 461 over, lie behind the dams of the unfinished Reichsautobahn Vienna -Breslau.

Neighboring towns are Skalice nad Svitavou and Mladkov in the north, Boskovice and Pilský Dvůr in the northeast, Lhota Rapotina in the east, Kuničky and Doubravice nad Svitavou the southeast, Obora in the south, Perná the southwest, Krhov and Drnovice in the west and Voděrady and Sebranice in the northwest.

History

Archaeological finds indicate a prehistoric settlement of the township. This was due mainly convenient location about two valleys and mineral deposits. At the mouth of Umori in the Svitava earlier was an ironworks. The village was first mentioned in 1357 in the country board in connection with the Vladiken Jaroš of Jabloňany and his wife Kačna. 1361 wrote about radon from Radslavice a half of the village to his wife Catherine. At the same time he satisfied Albert of Svárov, who had lodged a complaint against him this adverse jointure, with 100 shock Prague groschen. Later the village was connected to the rule of Cerna Hora. In 1831, 35 residents died from cholera. 1843, the low- village was hit by a flood of Umori. Vicarage has always been and jeh Doubravice nad Svitavou.

After the abolition of patrimonial Jabloňany formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Boskovice. Between 1852 and 1853 by the building of a primary school. This was transferred later after differences with the clergy in the house No. 37. 1878 was the application of the cherry orchards. In 1903 a major fire destroyed eight houses in the village. In 1907, founded the volunteer fire department. Between 1909 and 1910, finally a new, larger school building was erected. After the dissolution of Okres Boskovice the community came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Blansko. The mill Horni Umori was demolished in 1976. 1980 Jabloňany was incorporated along with Krhov after Skalice nad Svitavou. Since 1990, the community is Jabloňany again.
