Jabrayil Hasanov

Cəbrayıl Həsənov (born 24 February 1990 in Baku also Jabrail or Jabrail Hasanov ) is an Azerbaijani wrestler. He was 2010 and 2011 European champion in free style at lightweight.

Career

Cəbrayıl Həsənov began as a teenager in 2000 with the rings. His coach is since that time Aslan Agajew. He belongs to the Sports Club Inter- zenith Baku and operated exclusively in free style. At a size of 1.67 meters wrestles the current student at lightweight, the weight category to 66 kg body weight.

Cəbrayıl Həsənov was already extremely successful as a junior. His first international championship, he played at the 2005 European Junior Championship ( Cadets ) in Tirana in the weight class up to 46 kg body weight, at which he also won a medal with a 3rd place. By the year 2009, he then won six medals at Junior World or European Championships. In 2007 he was in Warsaw Junior European Champion ( Cadets ) in the weight class up to 63 kg body weight and 2009 even junior world champion ( Juniors) at lightweight before David Safarjan from Russia.

In 2009, he won the European Championship in Vilnius in lightweight behind Andrei Stadnik from Ukraine 2nd place. He was thus a seamless transition from the juniors to the seniors succeeded. At the 2009 World Championships in Herning / Denmark he had, however, after a defeat against the Olympic bronze medalists Sushil Kumar from India in 2008 settle for a 7th place. In 2010 he was in Baku with a win in the final battle over Magomedmurad Gadschijew, Russia, European champion in light weight and at the World Championships in Moscow, he fought his way to a victory in the battle for 3rd place on the Mongols Batzorig Buyanjav his first medal at a senior world Cup. Before this fight he was in the semifinals again, failed to Sushil Kumar, who also became World Champion.

In March 2011 Cəbrayıl Həsənov succeeded at the European Championships in Dortmund to defend his title. He won among others, there about Gergö Wöller from Hungary, Saba Bolaghi, Germany and fight for victory over Leonid Bashan from Bulgaria. At the World Championships this year in Istanbul Jabrail Hasanow triumphed over Stelios Mom, Cyprus and Gergö Wöller from Hungary, but then lost to Tatsuhiro Yonemitsu of Japan and thus missed a place in the final. But he was able to secure with wins over Batzorig Buyanjav from Mongolia and Leonid Bashan from Romania still a bronze medal.

At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he won the lightweight initially Leonid Bashan and Ali Shabanov from Belarus, but then lost again against Tatsuhiro Yonemitsu and in the fight for an Olympic bronze medal against Livan Lopes Azcuy from Cuba and therefore had to settle for fifth satisfied place.
