Jakob Hlasek

Jakob Hlasek, Jakub Hlasek, ( born November 12, 1964 in Prague, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Swiss tennis player.

Career

Hlasek could in his career, five single and 20 double win tournaments. In the single 1989 was his highest placing the number 7 on the world tennis rankings, in a double, he managed in the same year at position 4

Hlasek won at the French Open in 1992 together with his fellow countryman Marc Rosset the doubles competition, reached the final of the Swiss team in Davis Cup, where they defeated the United States, and won together with Manuela Maleewa the Hopman Cup. At the Olympic Games in 1992, he retired in a double along with Rosset in the quarterfinals of. In 1996 he won the Swiss team World Team Cup in Dusseldorf.

Jakob Hlasek was in his first marriage with Mara to 1999 verheiratet.Er married half a year after the divorce in 1999 Nathalie in a second marriage and the couple have three children. Since December 2009, they live separately. He lives in Blonay in the canton of Vaud.
