Jam & Spoon
Jam & Spoon was a successful trance and dance duo from Germany. Jam & Spoon consisted of Rolf Ellmer ( Jam El Mar) and Mark Spoon ( Mark Spoon ). Ellmer and spoon produced, inter alia, as " Trancy Spacer " and " Spacy trancer " under the project name "Tokyo Ghetto Pussy " and " Storm". Your productions have strongly influenced the early 1990s, the national music scene. Spoon was 39 years old and died on January 11, 2006 in Berlin from heart failure.
Band History
The first release " Stella" ( on the EP " Tales From Dancographic Oceans " ) was established in 1992 as one of the biggest club hits of the year and brought Ellmer and spoon as a producer team to the top. Since that time, Jam & Spoon also produced very successful remixes for Dr. Alban, The Age of Love, Moby, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Enigma and Queen.
In 1993, the single was released "Right in the Night ". The mixing of trance elements with acoustic guitar ( basic melody is from Asturias by Isaac Albéniz ) and the song of the singer Plavka Lónich made the production both in the charts and in the clubs successful. The included bonus track "Follow Me" has become a trance classic. 1993 published two albums: " Qantas Fairytales 2001 " and " Qantas Fairytales 2002 '. 2001 is marked by Dance-/Trance-Elementen. 2002 Ambient influences. Both albums were well received by critics and audiences.
Jam & Spoon concentrated in the following years, mainly due to the success of "Right in the Night " and succeeded several times a high chart position, in 1997, the album Kaleidoscope, 1999, new remixes of the first Jam & Spoon classic Stella and 2001 appeared Be.Angeled with Rea Garvey, while they were able to record several club hits with the more dance - oriented projects "Tokyo ghetto pussy " and " Storm".
In 2004, the album Qantas Fairytales was released 3003. The list of guest singers: Plavka Lónich, Jim Kerr ( Simple Minds singer ), Rea Garvey ( Reamonn singer ), Dolores O'Riordan ( The Cranberries singer ), Tricky ( guest musician with Massive Attack ), Xavier Naidoo, Shweta Shetty, Virginia Nascimento, Midge Ure, Mark Gardener and Mike Romeo. In Memory of Mark Spoon was released in September 2006, a collection of known club tracks and remixes by Jam & Spoon.
In April 2013 a remake of the successful EP Song Right appeared in the Night remixes of several European projects and Dance DJs contains. These include Groove Coverage, the Michael Mind Project, David May and Bodybangers. The two producers David May & Amfree up with their new version of Right In The Night 2013 in the German single charts in May 2013 at number 38. The new version has been re- sung also by the former singer Plavka.
