James Albert Duffy

James Albert Duffy (* September 13, 1873 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, † February 12, 1968 in Grand Iceland, Nebraska ) was Bishop of Grand Iceland.

Life

James Albert Duffy received on 27 May 1899, the sacrament of Holy Orders for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul.

On January 27, 1913, Pope Pius X appointed Bishop of Kearney ( later Diocese of Grand Iceland ). The Archbishop of Dubuque, James John Keane, gave him on 16 April of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Omaha, Richard Scannell, and the Bishop of Cheyenne, Patrick Aloysius Alphonsus McGovern.

On June 5, 1931 James Albert Duffy resigned as Bishop of Grand Iceland and was appointed titular bishop of Silandus.
