James Walker (racing driver)

James Walker ( born August 25, 1983 in Jersey ) is a British racing driver.

Career

After Walker began his motorsport career in karting in 1999, he moved in 2001 to the British Formula Ford, where he stayed for three years. 2003 Walker won the championship title of the Scholarship class. In 2004 he moved to the British Formula 3 championship Hitech Racing and finished 18th in the overall standings. 2005 Walker remained in the British Formula 3 Championship and finished for Fortec Motorsports starting in eleventh place overall. The highlight of the season of the British was his first victory in this series on the Nürburgring. 2006 Walker returned to Hitech Racing back and denied his third season in the British Formula 3 Without having a race he improved to ninth place in the overall standings. Additionally, he took his team to two race weekends of the Formula 3 Euro Series.

2007 Walker left the British Formula 3 and went for Fortec Motorsport in the World Series by Renault at the start. Although the Briton won a race, he finished only 19th place in the overall standings. The following season, Walker stayed with Fortec Motorsport and improved to 13th overall. He also competed in several races of the Superleague Formula and won a race for assisted Zakspeed team of Borussia Dortmund. 2009 Walker played his third season in the World Series by Renault for the team P1 Motorsport. With a win, he finished the season ranked fifth in the overall standings.

2010 Walker returned to the Superleague Formula and goes for assisted by Atech Grand Prix team of FC Liverpool at the start. After the first race weekend, Walker can still unavailable finish.
