Jan Englert
January Englert ( born May 11, 1943 in Warsaw) is a Polish actor and director.
Life and work
Englert made his debut as a 13 -year-old in front of a movie camera in the role of liaison man Zefirek in Andrzej Wajda The channel, a strip about the Warsaw Uprising. His passion was now on the play, so that he - after graduating from school - the Warsaw Theatre Academy visited and finished in 1964 with a diploma. His first stage station took him to the Polish theater in his hometown, where he remained five years, until he finally moved to a contemporary theater. Here he played among others in Witkiewicz's The Mother, in Ionesco's Macbett and Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard.
At the beginning of his film career he often played revolutionary hero or brave fighters could later break away from his image, and was in demand as a character actor.
