Jan Kolář

January Kolář ( born March 21, 1981 in Boskovice, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Pardubice in the Extraliga since September 2013.

Career

January Kolář began his career as a hockey player with the HC Pardubice, for the first team, he made his debut in the Extraliga in the season 1999/2000. In his rookie year in 15 games he scored a goal and an assist each. In the following season, he ran in parallel for Pardubice in the Extraliga and the HC Berounsti Medvědi in the first second-rate league. The entire main round of the 2001/02 season spent the winger HC Dukla Jihlava at second division, before he returned for the extra league playoffs for HC Pardubice.

From the season 2002/ 03 Kolář regulars was the HC Pardubice in the Extraliga, came to 2008 but still occasionally in the first league for the HC Hradec Kralove to inserts. With Pardubice he failed in 2003 and 2007 only in the playoff final, for the seasons 2004/ 05 and 2009/10 he won with his team each Czech league title.

In 2012 he was able to repeat this success, before he was in May of the same year committed together with Petr Koukal of Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. However, for Neftekhimik he completed only six KHL games, before he returned in September 2013 at his home club. During the 2012/14 season he was temporarily loaned to HC Slavia Prague and Neftekhimik.

Internationally

For Kolář Czech Republic took part in 2004 at the Euro Hockey Tour. During the tournament in nine games he scored a goal and had three assists.
