2000–01 Czech Extraliga season

The 2000/ 01 was the eighth regular hosting of the Czech Extraliga. In the play-off final, the HC Slovnaft Vsetín set against last year's winner HC Sparta Prague 3-0 by. In the first league of the Czech Republic KLH Chomutov won the play-off finals and met in the relegation to the HC Becherovka Karlovy Vary, but failed with 2-4 against the league last of the Extraliga.

Mode

In 52 games, all teams will play two complete double rounds, so each team has 26 each home and away games. The teams ranked 1-8 qualify directly for the play- offs, their quarter-finals will be played in best-of- seven- mode. Semifinals and finals will be held in the other hand, Best-of -Five mode. The crew of the HC Slovnaft Vsetín sat down with 3-1 against HC Sparta Prague through and won the sixth league title in club history. Expulsion
