Jana Bieger

Jana Bieger ( born November 12, 1989 in Kiel) is a German -American gymnast. Even with two years she began (still in Germany ) with the gymnastics. When she was eight years old, wandered Bender and her mother out to Florida, where they live since then. Bender is a member of the national team of the United States.

Bender is the daughter of three -time German Olympian Andrea Bender. She trains in the gym her mother ( Bieger International Gymnastics ) in Florida.

As a junior in 2003, she was third on vault at the U.S. Championships in 2004 and third in the overall standings and winner at the jump. With the Junior National Team she entered 2004 at the Pacific Alliance Championships, where she won gold with the team and at the jump, and behind Nastia Liukin silver in the all around and on the balance beam.

In the senior, she started for the first time in 2005. At the U.S. Championships, she won third place in the all around, on vault and floor. At the World Championships in 2005 she went to the United States.

At the Pan Am Championships in 2005 she won the U.S. team took first place in the team standings as well as silver on vault and bronze on floor. 2006 at the Cottbus Cup they won on vault, a silver prize at the balance beam and bronze on the uneven bars. Three wins you arrive at the Pacific Alliance Championships in 2006, where she won with the team on vault and floor.

At the 2006 World Championships in Aarhus (Denmark), she was Vice World Champion in the all around and on the ground.

Because of injuries Jana Bieger was nominated at the 2008 Olympics, only as a reserve gymnast, but did not play.

Bender lives in Coconut Creek, Florida.
