Jane Krakowski

Jane Krakowski ( born October 11, 1968 in Parsippany as Jane Krajkowski ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

The family of Krakowski is of Polish descent. Krakowski debuted in 1983 as a teenager in a small supporting role in the TV movie No Big Deal, the same year she starred opposite Chevy Chase and Beverly D' Angelo in the comedy The Lampoon on. In 1990, she played in the musical theater piece Grand Hotel; for this role she was nominated for a Tony Award. In the dance film Dance with Me from the year 1998, she played a major role alongside Vanessa Lynn Williams and Kris Kristofferson.

Krakowski is best known as secretary Elaine Vassal on the television series Ally McBeal, which aired from 1997 to 2002. For this role she was nominated for the 1999 Golden Globe and 2001 for a Golden Satellite Award. She won the 1999 Screen Actors Guild Award, in the years 1998, 2000 and 2001 she was nominated for the same price. When Dr. Gretchen Trott 2002 and 2003 she played in the television series Everwood a psychologist.

2003 joined Krakowski on Broadway next to Antonio Banderas on in the musical Nine. For this role she won the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critic's Award. Since 2006 she plays in the sitcom 30 Rock. For the part of the less successful television actress Jenna Maroney she won in 2008 together with the ensemble to Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey Screen Actors Guild Award and received a year later an Emmy nomination.

Jane Krakowski Robert Godley is married to. From the relationship was a common son (* 2011) shows.
