Jane Salumäe

Jane Salumäe ( born January 17, 1968 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian former long-distance runner, who specialized in the marathon distance.

She was particularly successful in city marathons. She won in 1997, within two months, first the Rome Marathon in 2:31:41 hours and then the Turin Marathon in a personal best and then- course record of 2:27:04 h 2000 she won the Los Angeles Marathon in 2: 33:33 h and 2001 at the Vienna City Marathon in 2:29:47 h

In international championships her top placings remained mostly denied. Your best results were fourth place at the European Athletics Championships in Munich in 2002 and the fourteenth place finish at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995. During further World Cup appearances in 1999 in Seville and in Paris in 2003, she took the places 30 and 47 the marathon at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she finished on the 44th place.

Jane Salumäe had a competition weight of 53 kg at a height of 1.67 m. In 1998 she was elected to Estonia Athlete of the Year.
