Janusz Kierzkowski

Janusz Kazimierz Kierzkowski ( born February 26, 1947 in Borek; † August 19, 2011 in Breslau) was a Polish track cyclist.

Career

From the late 1960s to mid-1970s was Janusz Kierzkowski the world elite of short-term specialists on the web. He celebrated his first major international success in 1968 when he won the bronze medal in the 1000 -meter time trial at the Olympic Games in Mexico City. 1969 in Antwerp, he became vice - world champion in the time trial, 1973 in San Sebastian world champion. In 1969 he was also Polish Champion in Sprint

1974 and 1975 respectively Kierzkowski could be third in the World Championships in track time trial. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 he finished fifth in the time trial and the fourth in the team pursuit. At the end of his career, he again finished at the Games in Montreal in 1976 a fourth place in the time trial.
